This was great, PapaReap, especially because I've always played a sniper in this mission, so it's great to see it from a different perspective.
This is really a sniper mission. When you guys were asking for support, it wasn't that Turd and I weren't shooting. It's just that there's an abundance of targets for snipers. I was shooting pretty much constantly, but it took awhile to whittle them down.
The assault team could wait before advancing (at the very least, wait for each other) to allow the snipers to clear the way. But then, that might not be much fun. If the assault team rushes ahead, though, there's no time for the snipers to thin the enemy. And that causes the remaining enemy to run around like crazy, which makes them very hard to shoot from a long distance.
Hmm,... HRD, maybe you could add more enemy to the town, so that would slow up the assault team a bit, and yet still give them plenty of action? Just a thought. I'd like to see the enemy in assault boats shooting from the sea, too. That would seem to make sense. (Do AT or AA missiles lock on to boats? I've never tried it, myself.)
Anyway, that was fun to watch again. I definitely need to be in the assault party next time, and let some of you try the sniper role. It's definitely a mission for snipers. And
I really need the practice assaulting! (Just give me a reason to carry a missile launcher and I'll be happy.)
