For anyone pondering a cpu upgrade from Sandybridge
« on: Aug 06, 2015, 10:57 AM »
So I'm still running my SandyBridge i7-2600 (non k) and it has served me very well since I got back into the PC building/gaming arena.
But.....I have been getting the itch over the last year to do a nice upgrade that would be worth it considering the SandyBridge cpu's were bad ass when they launched and intel's cpu improvements have been minimal year after year.
Well sandy bridge is about 5 years old now and I'm gonna pull the trigger to upgrade over the next few months to SkyLake which was just released.

For anyone who is pondering the same here is a good benchmark done by PCPER on youtube explaining where the 5 years of improvements will be had.
Enjoy
