Longstanding Modder of BF2.

Looks like they were going to do this for Arma II and canceled, planning Arma 3.

I have tried Project Reality mod, and i really liked the idea of the game. I played Battlefield 2: Project Reality mod, even it was not like Arma, but i still had nice memories, and I've met really great people there.

From what I've seen in Battlefield 2: Project Reality - I'm expecting really nice results from Arma and Project reality, but of course - first of all need to wait for full  Arma 3 game, which hopefully will be released soon.

Have anybody checked what possibilities has Reality mod?

They just started this Arma 3 aspect -- I would suspect at least the features/functions they had for arma2  would prop to A3.   What they do also depends on the end result of Arma 3.

This will probably ending up as good thing where functions are bundled in vs. various mods, but this is way too early to tell anything. But they seem very successful at Battlefield 2.  Would of been cool for BF3 but apparently EA/DICE put a stop to that.

I have been watching a thread over at BIS over axed features. I got a feeling that Arma 3 will have less than Arma 2.  I think basic vanilla arma functionality vs "let the mods do it" is starting to cause a small uproar.  So if Arma 3 is just a sandbox that you have to develop to play, then time will tell..
